Should you text your customers?

Text messaging is becoming an increasingly common way to communicate with people. But does it have a place in your Avon business, or is it considered too impersonal?

I think that there is a place for texting, however it is not with gaining new customers. For initial contact, I suggest that you use face to face contact, or if that's not possible; a phone call or a hand written card/letter will give that extra level of service that show people that you care.

However if you have already established a relationship with a customer, it is perfectly acceptable to text or email them to arrange a deliver time since you only need a quick answer (time/day). This way you don't disturb them during busy times.
