Book Review: 100 Ways to Sell Avon by Birdie Jaworski

I used to read Birdie's blog back when she was an Avon rep.  Her stories about her adventures in trying the products and selling them to customers was always entertaining and inspiring.

I also have her original book "Don't Shoot! I'm just the Avon Lady", which includes lots of the stories from her old blog.

In her latest book, "100 Ways to Sell Avon" (Amazon link), Birdie again offers suggestions and tips on finding more customers.

The layout of the book contains mainly a 'tip' for each page (graphically represented) interspersed with random observations and stories from Birdie.

I really liked her book (and considering that she has 100+ tips and I only have a fraction of that) it's good value for money (but hey, mine is still a lot cheaper, you can get both right?  LOL ;) )

Here's a sneak look at one of the pages inside her book (it's Tip 15 - giving your brochure to fast food workers):

I think the book is a great addition to an Avon rep's arsenal and with Birdie's entertaining writing style is surely another winner for her.

It's available at the usual suspects including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks etc.  I give it 5 stars.

Avon Tips for More Makeup Sales

More Avon Tips: With Avon using more high profile stars such as Salma Hayak and Reese Witherspoon in their advertising campaigns why not use this to your advantage.

On the Brochure pages that have a picture of Reese, write down a list of all the Avon makeup and the shades that she is wearing and tally it up to how much it would cost to 'Look Like Reese'. Photocopy your list and include it with all your brochures, or better yet stick it right to the front of the brochure.

Everyone wants to look like a celebrity and you've just made it easy for them. You could even give them a discount if they buy all the makeup on your list.
